Health Insurance
It is a University policy that all students enrolled in six or more credits are required to show verification of adequate health insurance. Verification must include the name of the insurance company and the policy number. Give this information to the personnel at the Registrar's Office, One Stop Shop, 170 Owen Hall.

International Students are automatically enrolled in the Student Health Benefit Plan. Students can submit a request for waiver of the plan by calling 1-800-232-9017 to the Student Health Benefits Office. Students must provide proof of covered by a US Based employer sponsored group benefit plan. You may download the enrollment form for the Student Health Benefit Plan and send it to the address on the form.
Students have two weeks from the start of classes to provide the Registrar's Office with proof of health insurance. After two weeks from the start of classes students who have not shown proof of health insurance will automatically be billed on their account for the Student Health Insurance offered through UMC. If the Student Health Insurance policy is purchased, please refer to the pamphlet for information regarding the policy.
