Three One-Act Plays Set for Dec. 1-3 at UMC

The University of Minnesota, Crookston (UMC) Music-Theater Department will present three one-act plays on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, December 1, 2, and 3, at 7:30 p.m. in Kiehle Auditorium on the UMC campus.

The first play is a twist on the favorite Christmas classic "The Gift of the Magi" in which a young married couple exchange gifts that turn out to be totally in appropriate. The second offering is "Suppressed Desires," a comedy about the folly of placing too much emphasis on psycho-analysis.

The third short play is "The Word, Once Heard," written by Dr. James W. Thomasson, associate professor of Ethics on the Crookston campus. This show, featuring a cast of eight UMC students, is a philosophical drama that features characters from the Bible.  This is the first time the UMC Music-Theater Department has presented a script written by a faculty member.

The admission for the three short plays is $3 for adults and $1 for students/children.

Disability accommodations are available upon request. For information, call 218-281-8587.
