Speaker to Discuss Accessible Website Design at UMC November 11

"Accessible Wesite Design" will be discussed at the University of Minnesota, Crookston (UMC) on Thursday, November 11, in three separate sessions:  9:00 to 10:30 a.m.; 12:00 noon to 1:30 p.m.; and 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. The sessions will take place in Youngquist Auditorium.  

Phil Kragnes, adaptive technology specialist from the Computer Accommodations Program on the Twin Cities Campus, will offer the presentations.  Sessions are free and open to the public.  It is expected that the 9:00 a.m. session will have the most seating available.

Kragnes will demonstrate screen-reading programs and offer solutions for the development of websites that are accessible for all users including those with disabilities.

The presentations are co-sponsored by the Office for Students with Disabilities and the Office of Outreach and Continuing Education. There is no cost to attend. Handouts will be available to all participants.
