The three-day course will be held Monday, July 31, through Wednesday, August 2, beginning each day at 9 a.m. in Dowell Hall, room 201. Topics covered include the main types of contamination, the most common food borne diseases, cleaning and sanitizing, how to purchase and receive safe food, dealing with sanitation regulations and standards, and appropriate storage procedures. The certification exam will be given on August 2 at 1 p.m. Disability accommodations will be provided upon request.
