Peter
Mayer, singer songwriter, will appear at the University of Minnesota,
Crookston (UMC) on Thursday, November 18, at 7:00 p.m. in the Eagles Roost
in Sahlstrom Conference Center. Sponsored by Student Programming and
Campus Entertainment, the performance is free and open to the public. Mayer’s
songs are fresh and unique, earthy and intimate, inviting the listener to
consider the deeper aspects of life. His welcoming voice and inventive
guitar work along with his honest delivery provide the perfect vehicle for
his down-home wisdom. Mayer’s
numerous accolades include nominations for a Minnesota Music Award for
Best Male Songwriter and Best Folk Artist, and twice being selected as a
finalist in the Telluride Troubadour Songwriters Competition. His
latest release "Bountiful" was recently nominated for Best Folk
Album of the year by the Minnesota Music Academy. His other recordings
include "Uncrowded Sky" and "Straw House Down." Disability
