Herpetologist Keith Gisser

Hands-On Live Reptile Program at UMC April 8

The hands-on live reptile and amphibian program "Herps Alive!!" will be held at the University of Minnesota, Crookston (UMC) on Thursday, April 8, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in Bede Lounge. The public is invited, and there is no charge.

A 13-foot Burmese Python, a 4-foot alligator and more frogs, lizards, salamanders, turtles and snakes than you can shake a stick at -- That’s "Herps Alive!!," the program that’s fun for students of all ages.

Having been involved as a keeper, breeder and seller of reptiles and amphibians for over 20 years, Herpetologist Keith Gisser has been bringing his friendly "herptiles" to campuses across the country for the past four years.

Presenter Keith Gisser with SnakeGisser entertains the audience with humorous insights about mysterious creatures, and invites the audience to touch and hold the animals while learning about their natural habitat, how they survive in captivity, their care and the differences between them.

Disability accommodations will be provided upon request. For more information call Student Activities at 281-8505.
