UMC Athletes Intern in Northern League

Two University of Minnesota, Crookston (UMC) athletes are doing internships in baseball's Northern League. Jason Wegwitz of Vancouver, British Columbia will be working for the Fargo-Moorhead Redhawks, and Cory Robinson of Minnedosa, Manitoba will be working for the Winnipeg Goldeyes.

Jason Wegwitz of Vancouver, British Columbia, will be a senior. He is enrolled in UMC’s Sport and Recreation Management program. Wegwitz actually pitched the Golden Eagles to a win against North Dakota State University at Neuman outdoor field, the home field of the Fargo-Moorhead Redhawks. He is interning with the Redhawks this summer.

Cory Robinson of Minnedosa, Manitoba, will be a Junior. He is a Sport and Recreation Management major, and a UMC hockey player. He is interning with the Winnipeg Goldeyes in the Northern League. This is the first year the Goldeyes will play at their new stadium Can West Global Park.
