The U
CARD Is Coming!
The U Card is coming to the UMC campus. Beginning Tuesday, November 4, 1997, UMC will begin enjoying the advantages a multi-functional campus card provides. The U Card will serve as UMCs new student, faculty, and staff photo ID card.
Students
will use it for all their UMC photo ID purposes, like checking
out library materials and admittance to athletic events. The U
Card even offers valuable checking and calling card accounts that
save money and time. Students will be able to have their
financial aid credit balances directly deposited into their U
Card bank account making it the fastest way to access
their money.
U Cards will be issued on the Crookston campus Tuesday, November 4, through Thursday, November 6, from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. in Hill Hall, room 7. Students, faculty and staff are reminded to bring a drivers license or passport and to be prepared to have their picture taken.
Free popcorn will be available, and there will be a grand prize drawing for a VCR. Everyone will be entered into the drawing when they get their U Card.
Everyone who opts to open the U Card checking and/or phone account qualifies for additional entries into the prize drawingincreasing their chances of winning. In addition to the drawings, AT&T will give away a FREE $5.00 calling certificate (worth 30 free minutes of domestic long distance calls) to anyone who opens the U Card phone account. TCF Bank will give away a FREE $10.00 UMC Bookstore gift certificate to anyone who opens and makes a deposit ($50.00 minimum) into a U Card checking account.
Be one of the first on the UMC campus to receive the new identification and access card called the U Card. Look for posters and flyers to be distributed on the UMC campus soon.
Starting next week, detailed information on UMCs U Card and its checking and phone accounts can be found by visiting the U Cards web page link to UMCs U Card at http://www.umn.edu/ucard/.
