University of Minnesota, Crookston WordmarkHomespun Treasures Spring Luncheon May 2

Homespun Treasures is the theme for the UMC Women’s Association Spring Luncheon to be held Saturday, May 2, at 11:00 a.m. in Brown Dining Room in the Sahlstrom Conference Center at the University of Minnesota, Crookston (UMC).

Kathe Lemmerman will talk about quilting. Lemmerman has been a quilter since her early 20’s. Her easy style of presentation is a delight to everyone. She often sits on the floor with quilts spread around her as she talks about each quilt.

Lemmerman will talk about many aspects of quilting, including care, storage, display, patterns, materials, color. She will bring about 50 quilts to talk about and display during the luncheon.

Along with the quilting program, there will be a hot chicken salad luncheon and a silent auction.

The UMC Women’s Association sponsors a spring fundraiser each year. Proceeds from the luncheon go the UMC Scholarships.

Tickets are $10 each and may be purchased from any UMC woman. Tickets are also for sale at Eagle Drug Store and Tours and Travel in Crookston. Disability accommodations available upon request. For more information call Pam Holsinger-Fuchs at 218-281-8505.
