Physician
Available on Campus on Trial Basis
UMC Student Health is pleased to announce that there will be a physician on campus every Wednesday starting October 8th. A medical professional from the Altru Clinic - Crookston will be at UMC Student Health from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. every Wednesday in an effort to better meet the health needs of UMC students.
What services will be provided? Acute care services such as upper respiratory infections, sinus problems, and sore throats can be evaluated. Women can now obtain family planning counseling and have their annual gynecological exam including breast cancer screening and Pap test done at Student Health.
Students are strongly encouraged to take advantage of this new service. This is being done on a trial basis and will continue only if the service is being utilized. Students being evaluated by the physician will be charged through their insurance company. So they should be sure to bring their insurance information with when seeing the doctor. Contact Stacey Grunewald, Student Health Services, 111 Bede Hall, 281-8512 for an appointment or if you have any questions.
