Celebrate "Cinco de Mayo" with Program
UMC will celebrate "Cinco de Mayo," Mexican Independence Day, on Tuesday, May 5, 1998, from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m. in Bede Ballroom.
The program will feature Dr. Nancy Barcelo, Associate Vice President for Minority Affairs at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, as the keynote speaker. The event will also feature a 25 minute video about Cinco de Mayo, remarks from Mario Prada, Director of Multicultural and International Programs at UMC, and comments from UMC students.
Following the program, the Office of Multicultural and International Programs will host a reception with refreshments. All members of the UMC community are invited to participate. The event is also open to the public.
