Racing Clinic Offered at UMC
A Barrel Racing Clinic will be held Sunday March 22, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the UMC Riding Arena in the University Teaching and Outreach Center on the University of Minnesota, Crookston (UMC) campus.
Jane Melby, 1993 international finals rodeo world champion barrel racer, will lead the clinic. Space for riders is limited, according to Sharon Escue, lecturer in equine science. The clinic is for 4-H riders, but may be audited by anyone. It is sponsored by the Rodeo club at UMC.
Costs for the clinic are as follows: $60 for horse and rider, $70 for rider with schooling horse provided, and $20 to audit the clinic. Cost includes the cost of lunch.
