There is no limit to the number of students participating from any one school in each contest, but the team score will be tabulated from the top three individuals.

Recognition will take place in Lysaker Gymnasium at 1:00 p.m. UMC Activity Day Scholarship Awards of $750 will be given for high individual performance, $600 for second high individual and $450 for third high individual in each contest.

Last year nearly 1,000 students from area schools competed in the annual event, according to Jane Sims, assistant to the ag management chair and coordinator of Ag Activities Day. In addition to local area schools, registrations for this year's Ag Activities Day have already been received from as far away as the Twin Cities.

There is a $1.50 registration charge per student and pre-registration is required. Disability accommodations will be provided upon request. Interested persons should call the University's Agricultural Management Division at 218-281-8101.
