Ventriloquist Dan Horn Performs September 24

Ventriloquist Dan Horn will perform Wednesday, September 24, in Kiehle Auditorium on the campus of the University of Minnesota, Crookston (UMC).  The performance will begin at 8 p.m.  The event is open to the public.  Admission is free for UMC students and $2 for all others.  Horn’s material is geared for college audiences and adults

The recipient of the prestigious International Ventriloquist of the Year Award in 1993, Horn is considered to be one of the best ventriloquists in the nation.  "Dummy" is politically incorrect," he says, "They prefer to be called "Mannequin Americans!"

Horn’s resume of national television appearances includes "Showtime," "Comic Strip Live," and "Stand Up Spotlight.”  He has also had the opening honors for Rita Rudner and the host of the Tonight Show, Jay Leno. In the college entertainment market he has received some impressive nominations: 1994 and '95 Entertainer of the Year, Best Comedy, and Best Male Performer from Campus Activities Today Magazine and 1993, '94 and '95 Entertainer of the Year from the National Association of Campus Activities.
