Minnesota Technology eBusiness Institute Offers Crookston Seminar on eBusiness Basics November 17

Business owners and senior managers interested in learning how to use the Internet to grow their business can register for an upcoming seminar, “Introduction to eBusiness Tools.”  The seminar, one of the first in a series being offered by Minnesota Technology’s eBusiness Institute, will be held on Friday, Nov. 17 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the University of Minnesota, Crookston in Hill Hall.

“The eBusiness Institute is for Minnesota companies that want to know how the Internet will impact the way they do business – and how to put it to work for them,” said Jacques Koppel, president of Minnesota Technology, Inc. “The great thing is that you don’t have to be fluent in computer-ese.  The courses are specifically designed for executives of small firms who want practical information on how this new technology will affect their business.”

The “Introduction to eBusiness Tools” includes a morning session that will focus on how the Internet and computer networks operate; the afternoon session will emphasize the benefits of incorporating an Internet strategy into business operations.

Minnesota Technology is partnering locally with the University of Minnesota, Crookston to market the seminar.  Hill Hall 4 is located on the UMC campus at 2900 University Avenue in Crookston.

The “Introduction to eBusiness Tools” seminar costs $119 per person, and includes lunch, seminar materials and a CD-ROM.  Registration is limited to 20 people.

To register, call Minnesota Technology at 1-800-325-3073.  You can also register online through Minnesota Technology’s eBusiness Institute Web site at www.minnesotatechnology.org/ebusiness.

The new eBusiness Institute, which Minnesota Technology launched last month in partnership with the University of Minnesota, Crookston, is offering a series of affordable seminars at dozens of locations primarily in Greater Minnesota.  In addition to the “Introduction to eBusiness Tools,” other seminar topics will include everything from marketing on the Web, to using the Internet to improve customer relationships, and selling directly over the Internet.  The price of advanced courses is $179 each.

For a complete list and description of seminar topics, and a statewide schedule, call 1-800-325-3073, or visit www.minnesotatechnology.org/ebusiness.
