Schools and Technology Teleconference at UMC March 25

Connecting Rural Schools and Communities to the Information Superhighway is the topic for a PBS teleconference, scheduled at the University of Minnesota, Crookston (UMC) Conference Center, 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 25, 1997. The program will include case studies of successful technology models for improving rural schools.

U.S. Secretary of Education Richard W. Riley has endorsed the teleconference as a tool for helping schools prepare students for an increasingly complex world. The program will originate from Washington D.C.

The Distance Learning Association helped produce the program. Local sponsorship is by the Office of University Outreach at the University of Minnesota, Crookston.
