Graduate Degrees Offered at UMC
Are you uncertain about beginning a graduate degree? Come to a
class at UMC to get a feel for the program. The University of
Minnesota now offers master of education degrees through UMC. The
classes for the degrees will be offered by a combination of
interactive TV (ITV) and work on the Internet. The UMC campus
will serve as a "distribution site" for the degrees
which are offered through other campuses in the University of
Minnesota system.
New graduate programs offered on site at the University of
Minnesota, Crookston are:
- Master of Education Degree in Human Resource
Development, offered by the Department of Work,
Community, and Family Education, part of the College of
Education at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities
Campus
- Master of Education Degree in Cross-Disciplinary
Study of Young Children and Families, part of
the College of Education and Human Service Professions at
the University of Minnesota, Duluth.
Classes beginning spring quarter include:
- Consulting in Human Resource Development (HRD
5794)
3 Credits, Saturdays, 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., April 5 to May
10.
- Organizational Development in Industry and
Business (HRD 5760)
4 Credits, (This class is pending), Wednesdays, 6:45 to
10:05 p.m., April 2 to June 11.
- Training on the Internet (HRD 5780)
3 Credits, all classes are on- line.
- Internship in Human Resource Development (HRD
5770)
1 to 6 Credits.
- Culturally Different Pupils (Educ 5376)
3 credits, Tuesdays, 6 to 8:40 p.m., March 11 to May 20.
