Comedian to Appear at UMC

Comedian Jennie McNulty will appear at the University of Minnesota, Crookston (UMC) on Thursday, April 10, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., outside Morsels in the UMC Conference Center.

McNulty is not the stereotypical comic. Unlike most women who talk about feminine subjects, McNulty gets into sports. She loves sports and claims to be "an avid sports nut" since childhood. The audience can expect her uniquely feminine twist on the male dominated world of sports:

On football: "In college my friends would ask, 'Are there any football players in your classes?' No. . .I tested out of coloring."

On boxing: "It's not that I'm afraid of getting hurt, I just couldn't get weighed in front of all those people."

From sports to ridiculous song lyrics to life in space, Jennie McNulty's subject matter runs a wide range.

McNulty was featured in the "Sirens of Satire" TV show at the world famous Improv in Los Angeles. Her playful style grabs the audience right from the start and never lets go.

The presentation is free and open to the public. Disability accommodations will be provided upon request. Please call 281-8505.

This event is sponsored by UMC Student Activities.
