UMC Awards: Outstanding Service to Students
Each spring UMC students nominate a number of faculty and staff members to be considered for the Outstanding Service to Students Award.  This award is significant in that the entire UMC student body votes to select the recipient, meaning the award recipient has shown a sincere interest in helping students achieve success.  The award winner is named at the annual UMC Student Awards Reception.

The Outstanding Educator Award has been presented to the following UMC faculty members:

  • 2004  Pam Holsinger-Fuchs - director, Student Activities and Service Learning

  • 2003  Michelle Christopherson - assistant to the director, Center for Agriculture and Natural Resources

  • 2002  Stacey Grunewald - coordinator, Student Health Services

  • 2001  Pam Holsinger-Fuchs - director, Student Activities and Service Learning 

  • 2000  Jerry Knutson - associate professor of biology, and
             Robbie McGurran
    - instructor, information networking management

  • 1999  Claudia Barton - program advisor, Student Support Services

  • 1998  Richard Nelson - director, Ag Management Division

  • 1997  Marv Mattson - associate professor of agronomy
