UMC Awards: Distinguished Professional and Administrative Award
 The purpose of this award is to promote and recognize excellence in job performance among UMC professional and administrative (or P&A) employees.  

The award has been presented to the following UMC distinguished 
P & A employees:

  • 2005 - Bruce Ramstorf, master tutor/teaching specialist - student support services
    2005 - Elizabeth Tollefson, Assistant Director of Development

  • 2004 - Les Johnson, Director, Human Resources

  • 2003 - Stephanie Helgeson, Assistant Director, Athletics

  • 2002 - Heidi Patterson, Associate Director, Financial Aid

  • 2001 - Claudia Barton, Program Advisor, Student Support Services

  • 2000 - Pam Holsinger-Fuchs, Director, Student Activities and Service Learning

  • 1999 - Laurie Wilson, Counselor and Assistant Education Specialist

  • 1998 - Andrew Svec, Associate Program Director, Webmaster 

  • 1997 - Allen Larson, Director, Development

  • 1996 - John "Jack" Bywater, Director, Admissions

Each year, one nominated employee is selected by a committee appointed by the UMC Chancellor.  Nominations are accepted from students, colleagues, alumni, UMC clubs or organizations, centers, and/or individual faculty and staff. 

Eligibility:

  • 75% to 100% full-time employee at the University of Minnesota, Crookston in the P & A classification for at least two years.
