A variety of housing options are available to students who wish to live in University housing facilities. The traditional residence halls include room and board. Several meal plan options are available. All meals for students living in the residence halls are served in Brown Dinning Hall/Eagles Nest. Each building also includes communal kitchenette areas for students wishing to cook meals on their own. Pots and pans are not included in the kitchenettes.
Both the residence halls and apartments are staffed by professional staff and student resident advisers who are trained to respond to the problems associated with group living as well as any emergencies that may arise.
If you do not have the items listed below please be prepared to go shopping for these items during the first few days at UMC. Expect to pay around $300.00.

Dining Center
Brown Dining Room offers a variety of nutritious meals to satisfy anyone's appetite. Each person has a choice of two different entree lines featuring many different dishes. A third line offering short order items is available Monday-Friday. A trip through the salad bar is also included with your meal.

The Eagles Nest
This is the campus convenience store and so much more. It offers a variety of fast food items, including pizza, hot dogs, cold sandwiches, nachos, pretzels and a variety of other snack foods. Rather than running to the local grocery store, students can also stop by the Eagles Nest to pick up cooking, baking, and cleaning items.
Vending Machines
Vending machines are located throughout campus offering a variety of refreshments, such as candy, pop, coffee and juice, service is 24 hours a day.

There are many places in Crookston to shop. Check out the website to discover what Crookston has to offer. There are also shopping malls and restaurants in nearby Grand Forks as well. For more immediate attention the closest grocery store/pharmacy/deli to UMC is "Hugo's." A Super Wal-Mart will be coming to Crookston soon.

Laundromat
University Residence Halls and Apartments have coin operated washing machines and clothes dryers located in each building. These machines take quarters and you must supply your own detergent.
* There are quarter change machines located in McCall, Skyberg & Centennial and those machines take $1 & $5 bills. You may also obtain quarters at the Business Office in Selvig
Students living off campus in Crookston will find Laundromats and dry cleaners nearby.

Summer Storage
Summer Storage is available at UMC. If you are interested in storing your belongings over the summer please contact Rae French. Summer storage on campus will cost each individual $10.00 for the summer. This will need to be paid in advance, one week before the end of school . A notice will be sent out to everyone one week prior to the deadline.
