Centennial Hall
Centennial Hall, aptly named for its construction during the campus centennial, was completed and ready for occupancy in fall 2006. The $3.5 million facility contains 21 apartments with two bedrooms each that share a common kitchen and living room area. They are air-conditioned and have full-sized refrigerators, microwaves and dishwashers. All apartments are fully furnished and have wired and wireless Internet access.
As part of the Centennial Hall building project, improvements were made to the adjoining Westside Apartment building. Westside was originally completed in the fall of 1997, and with the 2006 updates, it is now a part of Centennial Hall. Centennial Hall also serves as the home location for the Office of Residential Life and Security Services .
The exterior of the building reflects the traditional maroon and gold of the University of Minnesota with its gold-colored brick and maroon hip roof.
The building will be dedicated on October 12, 2006 during a visit from the University of Minnesota Board of Regents and President Robert Bruininks.
