Multicultural International Club
A group of students that are excited to share about their own culture, interested in learning new things about others' and dedicated to promoting cultural diversity on the Crookston campus. You don't have to be from a foreign country to get involved, all you have to do is come, and share in on the fun!
Club's principle activities, events and programs:
We do a number of fun activities to allow students to experience the American culture and also try out the wide variety of other ethnic groups that are present on the Crookston campus. Activities have included: camping, cross country skiing, ice fishing, sledding, celebrating the Asian New Year, square dancing, salsa dancing and potlucks where we bring and taste delicious dishes from different countries.
Club's community service:
In the past, community service has included teaching students games from different countries, sharing about our countries to elementary school children and hosting the annual International Dinners where various countries are highlighted.
How to get involved in this club:
You can come check us out at our weekly meetings on Tuesdays at 7pm in Hill Hall 4 or you can contact our secretary, Joyana Wardrip, at wardr007@umn.edu to see what activities we are planning on doing.
