After 21 years at
UMC, I will retire this Friday, December 10. Thanks to

RRTC Open House
The Red River
Trade Council will host an open house in our new
facilities in the Valley Technology Building. We invite
the UMC community to see our new facility on Monday,
December 13. The open house is scheduled from 1:30 to
4:30 p.m. with a short presentation at 3 p.m. The
presentation will update the UMC community on the
projects we are presently working on.

Christenson Retirement Party
You are invited to
a Retirement Party for Richard Christenson on Tuesday,
December 14, from 3 to 5 p.m. in Bede Ballroom on the UMC
Campus. If you would like to contribute toward a gift,
please bring your donation to Trish or Marsha in
Sahlstrom Conference Center 109 or Karen Murphy in Selvig
121. We hope you will be able to stop by and wish Dick
and Myra well in his retirement.

Grosz Accepts Position
Arlyss Grosz has
accepted another position within the University and will
be leaving the Crookston campus the first of the year.
Over the last decade Arlyss had done a fabulous job in
providing the needed leadership in the development of the
Health Management programs, cooperative programs, and has
been on the cutting edge in distance delivered courses.
Please join us for a farewell cake and beverage social on
Monday, December 20, from 3 to 4:30 p.m. in Sahlstrom
Conference Center 109.

Faculty and Staff Accolades
- Renee Mulcahy
was awarded the Employee Award for the Fall
Semester. Congratulations Renee.
- Arlyss Grosz
has been appointed to the Consultant-Evaluator
Corps of the North Central Association of
Colleges and Schools. This means she will be
involved as a team member in the NCA peer review
process for schools seeking or renewing North
Central Accreditation for academic programs.
UMC Insight
UMC Insight will
be aired Saturday, December 11, at 8:45 a.m. on KROX (AM
1260). Tune in this week to hear "UMC Receives
National Recognition" with Douglas Knowlton.
