Health Care Alliance
Affordable
health care is a growing concern for employers and
employees in Northwestern Minnesota. To respond to this
concern, the Northwestern Minnesota Civic Health
Initiative will convene meetings in six communities to
help the region begin to build its small business health
care purchasing alliance. Main street business operators,
industry employers, and farmers are encouraged to attend.
Meetings will be held in Warroad, Hallock, Crookston,
Warren, Thief River Falls and Fosston.
Legislation enacted during
the last legislative session provided funding to organize
health care purchasing alliances in Northwestern and
Southwestern Minnesota. The University of Minnesota
Crookston, through its Northwestern Minnesota Civic
Health Initiative, is taking leadership for organizing
the meetings in the northwest part of the state.
