Campus Assembly
The Fall Quarter Campus
Assembly meeting will be held today, November 5, at 4
p.m. in Dowell Hall 212. Refreshments will be available
at 3:45. Please try to attend this important meeting.

Comedian Frances Dilorinzo to Perform at UMC
Comedian Frances Dilorinzo will
perform tonight, Thursday, November 5, at 8 p.m. in Bede
Ballroom. The public is invited.

Community Campaign
The annual community
fundraising campaign is now underway for the 1999 year.
By now a volunteer/captain should have given all
employees the campaign information envelope. As of
Wednesday, October 28th, we have reached 47%
of our $6,500 United Way goal. Thanks to all of you who
have responded so quickly. A reminder to everyone to
please forward the pledge form back to the Business
Office even if you choose to make no contribution to this
year's campaign. All pledges should be turned in by the
first week of November. Thanks to all of you.

The Office of Admissions and
Financial Aid will be hosting Campus Preview for all
prospective UMC students on Friday, November 6. Please

Academic Advisement & Registration
Academic Advisement and
Registration for new students for Winter Quarter 1999 has
been scheduled for Friday, November 13, 1998, in
Sahlstrom Conference Center 131. Please see the attached
schedule. All faculty and staff are encouraged to join in
welcoming the new students to UMC during check-in from
8:30 to 8:45 a.m. Refreshments will be served. If you

USA Quarterly Meeting
USA Winter Quarter meeting is
scheduled for Monday, November 23, at 9:30 a.m. The
business section will last approximately 30 minutes. At
10 a.m. Doug Knowlton will offer an educational session
on conflict resolution. Refreshments will be provided.

Vehicles parking on the campus
without a valid parking permit will be towed at the
owner's expense. Permits are available at the Business
Office, Selvig Hall.
