Agassiz Bowl
UMCs Agassiz Bowl will take place this
Saturday, September 26, on the Widseth Football Field.
Schedule for the day is:
- 10:00 a.m. - Punt, Pass and Kick
for Crookston Youth
- 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.. -
Teambackers Tailgate
- 1:30 p.m. UMC kicks off
against Black Hills State
- Half-time Presentation of
Ed Widseth and Agassiz Bowl Scholarships and
recognition of the winners of Punt, Pass and Kick

Minnesota Vikings Keith Nord at UMC
Former Minnesota Vikings standout Keith Nord will
speak at UMC on Monday, September 28, at 6:30 p.m. in the
Bede Ballroom. Nord will talk about "Chemical
Decisions" and how those decisions affect your life.
The public is invited, and there is no charge.
Nords appearance is sponsored by UMCs Alcohol
and Other Drug Awareness Program.

Pat Surface to Perform at UMC
Pat Surface will perform at UMC as part of "T
Night Fever" on Tuesday, September 29 at 8 p.m. in
Bede Ballroom. Surface is an intergenerational musician,
songwriter, singer and storyteller. Sponsored by Student
Programming and Campus Entertainment, the performance is
free.

for you for less money? Printing Services, located at
122C and 112 Kiehle, offers quick print service with a
four hour turn around. Feel free to request this service
for your copy ready exams, course syllabi, and so on.

Thank You
I would like to thank all the faculty and staff who
helped make the members of the All University Civil
Service Committee feel at home during their meeting at
UMC on Wednesday, September 16, and Thursday, September
17. A special thanks to Chancellor Sargeant for hosting
the committee and giving an outstanding presentation. To
staff in Dining Services, Plant Services, Admissions,
Athletics, Science, Institutional Relations,
Instructional Technology Center, Media Services, and all
the Civil Service staff that attended the committee
dinner and meetings. The committee was very impressed
with the friendliness, cleanliness of the buildings and
beautiful mall and layout of UMC. Hats off to all the
employees at UMC! Thanks again.

UMC Insight
UMC Insight will be aired Saturday, September 26, at
8:45 a.m. on KROX (AM 1260). Tune in this week to hear
"First Year Experience" with Doug Knowlton.
