News Items

New Travel Forms Reminder
A reminder to all faculty and staff. The new travel forms procedures were included in the March 18th UMC Bulletin. As of April 1, 1999, only the new travel forms will be accepted. The old travel forms can no longer be used and should be discarded. Any travel expenses turned in on the old forms will be returned to the originator to be completed on the new travel forms.

Please refer to the information included in the March 18th bulletin for instructions on completing the new travel form. Supplies of the new forms were provided to each of the centers. If others are in need of a supply, please contact Gail Hasbrouck. Any questions, please let me know.

Brown Bag Seminar "Breast Cancer Awareness Issues"
Glenice Johnson will be at UMC Thursday, April 15th, to share her personal experience with breast cancer. Becky Gronberg, RN, Polk County Health Service will also join Glenice to talk about breast cancer prevention. Please bring your lunch to Bede Conference Room, from 12 noon to 1 p.m. on the 15th, and listen to the important message these women have to bring. Fact: 46,000 women die annually from breast cancer; 90% of these premature deaths could have been prevented through early detection.

Campus Assembly Meeting
The Spring Quarter Campus Assembly meeting will be Thursday, April 22, 1999 at 4 p.m., in Dowell Hall 207. Refreshments will be available at 3:45 p.m. Please try to attend this important meeting. Chancellor Sargeant will be providing a legislative budget update.

Russ Kreager Review
In accordance with UMC's Comprehensive Review Guidelines, a Committee has been appointed to conduct a review of Russ Kreager, Director of Enrollment Management. Members are Kathy Bade, David Crawford, Mandy Kidrowski, Dean McCleary, and Richard Nelson. Anyone wishing to submit information for consideration by the Committee is invited to do so by contacting any of its members.
