Tim Page and Jim Jannett from Inventory Services will be
on our campus to conduct the annual inventory of all UMC
capital assets (items with values greater than $500).
They will be issued master keys for the campus and will
be using hand-held electronic equipment to scan the fixed
asset labels from assets throughout the campus. Inventory
Services staff has the authority to enter all rooms and
buildings on campus to locate and inventory University
property. They will verify all items from our asset
inventory reports and will ask that the Business Office
follow up on missing items.
If you can be of assistance to them
when they review your area, that would be much
appreciated. If assets have been moved or removed from
campus, please let them know. Thank you.

Career Center "Virtual" Job Fair
UMC's Career Center
"Virtual" Job Fair will continue for the rest
of 1999! Presently we have 36 companies registered and
this number continues to grow each day. Two hundred
seventy (270) students have placed their resumes on-line
and this list is also growing on a daily basis. Please
keep encouraging students to register and post their
resumes with the Career Center. Many students using the
services have found excellent full-time, part-time,
seasonal and internship positions. The system is very
user friendly and anyone needing help can stop by the
Career Center. Our goal by the end of 1999 is to have 100
employers on-line and 60 to 70 percent of our students
registered. Thanks for all your help as we continue with
the "Virtual" Job Fair.
