Teambackers Social
There will be a Teambackers Social following the Mayville State-UMC basketball game Monday, February 8, at the VFW. We urge faculty and staff to attend the game and support our student athletes who work very hard at representing UMC to the outside community. Mayville fans usually follow their team in droves. Let's show them our enthusiasm for our students by attending the game. Following the game, join us for chili.

"Virtual" Job Fair
Here's an update for the "Virtual" Job Fair which starts February 8 and ends February 19. There are 25 employers registered to date with 240 student resumes on line.

Please keep encouraging all students to register with the Career Center and place their resumes on-line. The "Virtual" Job Fair will continue after February 19 for those companies that register for a full year, so it's never too late to register and post resumes with the Career Center. We still would like to reach our goal of between 400-500 resumes on-line by this Friday, February 5th. Only 160+ to go! If students would like help with their resume, we will have a booth in the Sahlstrom Conference Center and students can stop by and pick up samples and learn how to register with the Career Center. Please inform students in your classes of this opportunity! Thanks for your cooperation.

Blood Drive
During the January Blood Drive, 53 people volunteered to donate and 47 were able to give. There were 13 first time donors. United Blood Services was extremely pleased with the turnout from the UMC community, and consider this one of the most successful drives! A very sincere thank you to those who donated, and especially to those who had to wait longer than expected to donate due to unforeseen circumstances. Your continued support makes it all possible. The next blood drive will be April 13th.
