DISTINGUISHED TEACHING AWARD
"Distinguished Teaching Award" materials have been sent to all Full-time Academic and P&A Staff. If you did not receive the material, but would like to nominate someone, please request information from me.

A few changes have been made in the procedure this year to help streamline the process, etc. Some of the changes include:

  1. Eligibility will now include all full-time UMC faculty engaged in a minimum of 50% teaching.
  2. The files of unsuccessful nominees will remain active for two additional years for later consideration.
  3. Nominations will cease February 1.
  4. Completed folders need to be submitted by April 1.
  5. A reduction in the number of evaluation letters required.
  6. A reduction in the amount of material needed in the folder.

SELVIG/LIBRARY FAX CHARGES
The Executive Committee approved a change in the Selvig/Library Fax charges effective November 1, 1997. Existing charges have been $1.00 per page for outgoing fazes and $1.00 for an incoming fax.

The new charges will be $.50 per page for outgoing faxes and $.50 for an incoming fax. In addition to lowering the rates, the Committee has suggested that we pursue a fax routing system that is integrated with our current network. This will be reviewed in the near future.
