FACULTY/STAFF FUND DRIVE UPDATE
As of Tuesday, May 12, 1998, 27 faculty/staff have made gifts
of $12,728 with designations to UMC programs, academic and
athletic scholarships. Remember, if you are contributing to a
current pledge, your payroll deduction form should be signed and
returned to our office. If you have not turned in your gift or
pledge, please do so as soon as possible.
Your continued support is appreciated.

"POP GOES THE SAVINGS" BOOKSTORE SALE
Pop a balloon for savings from 25% to 50% off UMC clothing
(excluding sale items). The sale continues through May 22nd,
1998 at the Bookstore. Everyone's a winner!

UMC OUTSTANDING ALUMNI
Attached to this issue of the UMC Bulletin is the nomination
form for the UMC Outstanding Alumni. Please nominate an
individual who you feel deserves such an honor. The Outstanding
Alumni will be recognized at a brunch during Homecoming on
October 10. The deadline to return the form is June 30. Complete
the nomination form and return it to us at White House Alumni
Center or email your nomination to: rulseth@mail.crk.umn.edu.

FACULTY/STAFF TAILGATE THANK YOU PARTY
Please mark your calendar for the annual Faculty/Staff
Tailgate "Thank You" Party scheduled for Tuesday, May
19, 1998, from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. in the parking lot behind the
White House. In case of rain, we will move to the Bede Ballroom.
The familiar refreshments will be served.
Hope you will be able to join us in celebrating
the successes of UMC!

CHRIS ROBBERTS REVIEW
Connie Batten will chair the three year comprehensive review
for Chris Robberts. Richard Nelson and Marv Mattson are the other
members of the committee. Our thanks to them for participating in
this important activity.
