THEATER-MUSIC DEPARTMENT PRESENTATION
The UMC Theater-Music Department is presenting the 2-act
musical melodrama "Lurking on the Railroad" Saturday
through Tuesday, May 9-12 at 7:30 p.m. in Kiehle Auditorium.
The days of the Treasure Mountain and Pacific are numbered unless Iron Annie Archbar (Keturah Kelley) and the boys (Chris Momberg, Shon Naslund, Brandon Lage, Mike McFadden, Korey Hegreberg) and the girls (Rebecca Preisler, Lora Schackel, YuFang Chen) can curb the disasters which plague their beloved railroad. Into town rides Sir Nigel Nash-Narkington (Eric Perkins), ready to acquire the TM&P by fair means or foul, along with any available mountain maiden he can lay his hands on. Soon he and his sidekick Sleaze (Kiowa Ackley) are ready to sabotage the railroad, throw his ex-girlfriend, Countess Von Tostic (Rachel Sundbom) in the bottomless gorge, and ruin the gullible young Euphemia (Rebekah Stortroen) who has fallen for his British veneer. Only Euphemia's little sister Billy (Bridget Stortroen) sees the truth. With the help of Tommy Tao (Matt Smith) and Willard Winwright (Shane Naslund), the unlikely forces of good prevail. As village "Girl-who-can't-say-no" Carrie-On (Darci Delage) finds her destiny and Scruples (Eric Klindt), Sir Nigel's Butler, makes a choice for the right, the action builds up to a hair-raising finale.
Admission is $3 for adults and $1 for students
and children.
