DRUGS, PRISON, GANGS TALK AT UMC
An admitted former drug user and drunk, now an author, will give a powerful message Thursday, April 2, 7 p.m., in Bede Ballroom. The public is invited. Russell J. Simon, Jr. will speak about drugs, prison, gangs and recovery.
--Tim Harrison

VISIT WITH DR. AGARWAL
Dr. Vijendra Agarwal, a Fullbright Scholar, will be on campus Monday, April 6. He has asked to visit our campus as he is undertaking a study of Governance (views of students and faculty) and the Connectivity of UMC to Central Administration. There will be an open session for faculty at 11 a.m. in Hill 15. I would encourage everyone to stop in to visit with him at this time.
--Doug Knowlton

WOMEN AND INVESTING - PART II
UMC will receive an ITV broadcast from the Twin Cities as part of the brown bag lunch series. The last session will be on April 6th from 12 noon until 1 p.m. in 133 Kiehle Hall. The seminar is designed to help women with investment and retirement planning. An estimated 90 percent of women will be solely responsible for their finances at some time in their life. This seminar will provide you the tools, resources, and information to take charge of your financial future. The seminar will be presented by Lisa Stitzel from TIAA-CREF.
--Les Johnson

ERIC O’SHEA TO PERFORM AT UMC
Eric O’Shea will perform as part of Tuesday Night Fever at 8 p.m. April 7, in Bede Ballroom. O’Shea takes his audience back to some of the best times of life – youth. His clean wit and priceless observations pick up where home movies leave off. Amidst all of the innocence, creeps in the embarrassment, the childhood antics, the humor, remembering some awkward, hilarious situations. Sponsored by UMC Student Activities, the performance is free and open to the public.
--Pam Holsinger-Fuchs
