OUTSTANDING STUDENT SERVICE AWARDS
Just a reminder that attached to last week's issue of the Bulletin was a form to nominate outstanding students that work for you, are in class with your, or involved in other ways. Please take a few minutes to jot down their names and send them to the Bede Information Desk for consideration. From this list we choose the Outstanding Man and Woman of the Year and your input is critical. Thanks.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS CONCERNING TRAVEL
1) Do I need receipts for meals over $25 while traveling?

Answer: If you stay within the allowed meal per diem for both domestic and international travel, receipts are not required centrally. However, check with your department business manager. Your department may have a stricter policy and require receipts for all meals.

2) Can I fly 1st Class?

Answer: Policy does not allow first class travel to be paid for with University funds. Business class is permitted on flights of 8 hours or longer on the same plane.

3) Why should I use the University Big Ten Car Rental Contract with National when I can sometimes find better rates elsewhere?

Answer: National's contract with the University includes unlimited free mileage, free Lost Damage Waiver (LDW) and $100,000/$300,000/$25,000 liability, and no young renters (ages 21-24) fees, regardless of the qualified rate selected.

The LDW coverage eliminates the renter's responsibility for the physical damage (to the car) deductible, thus providing insurance protection at no charge. LDW coverage, if purchased, can cost anywhere from $8 - $16 per day depending on the car type and the vendor.
