MARK YOUR CALENDARS
The date has been set for the 1998 Torch and Shield Banquet
for Wednesday, November 4.

UMC TO HOST INTERCOLLEGIATE HORSE SHOWS
UMC will host Intercollegiate Horse Shows on February 7 and
8. The schedule is as follows: Saturday, February 7, 9 a.m., Hunt
Seat show starting with the jumping classes; between 1 and 2
p.m., Western show. Sunday, February 8 at 9 a.m., a second Hunt
Seat show.
Schools participating include UMC, South Dakota
State University, Iowa State University, St. Cloud State
University, University of Wisconsin-River Falls, University of
Wisconsin-Madison and University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

UMC CHOIR CONCERT
The New York Touring choir will present a one-hour concert on
Monday, February 9, beginning at 7:30 p.m. in Bede Ballroom. The
concert is free, open to the public, and refreshments will be
served.

FITNESS FEVER FEBRUARY
You may have noticed an attachment to this week's paycheck
that pertains to Fitness Fever February and Family Fun Days. To
participate in the Fitness Fever February, all you have to do is
record your physical activity and mark down your servings of
fruits and vegetables throughout the month of February. Return
the completed calendar to any Crookston school by Thursday, March
5th, 1998, and you will be eligible for over $1,000 in
prizes! It's that easy! On the other side of the attachment is a
list of Family Fun Days during the month of February that are
FREE and open to all. Join the fun! Contact me at 8512 for more
information. This event has numerous sponsors and is organized by
Wellness Works.

UMC PARKING
Because of several complaints to the UMC Parking Committee,
enforcement of parking violations on the campus through ticketing
and towing will become more aggressive.
Reminder -- Overnight parking in Lots A, J, G, H, I and K is prohibited except in designated areas.
Towing Policy -- Vehicles in loading zones, no parking zones and those with more than two violations will be towed and stored at owner's expense.
Individuals unloading supplies or miscellaneous
items should leave their hazard lights flashing to avoid
ticketing. Attached to this Bulletin is a snow removal schedule
for Lots D and E. If you have any questions, please call me at
Security Services, 8531.

RECIPROCITY EXEMPTION
A reminder to employees living in North Dakota to file a new
Reciprocity Exemption form for 1998. Please contact me at 8325 if
you haven't filed a new form for 1998. The deadline for filing a
new form is Tuesday, March 3, 1998. Current MWR Reciprocity forms
expire on 2/28/98. If a new MWR Reciprocity form is not received
by 3/3/98, Minnesota income tax will be withheld after that date.

POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
Associate Director of Graphic Design/Windows NT LAN
Position: Full-time, 12 month grant funded position
renewable annually based on funding and/or performance.
Responsibilities: Serves as information source to clients
involved with systems and programming studies; reviews design of
systems applications, assuring that all developments are made in
accordance with a general plan that provides for completeness,
accuracy, and efficiency within approved department standards;
plans, directs, produces, and promotes media and graphic
projects; operate specialized equipment during production stages;
provides practical and efficient recommendations and decision of
design concern with consideration of purpose, quality, quantity,
audience, and budget requirements; functions as graphic design
consultant and advisor to staff; and supervise student employees
who provide service to RRTC clients. Employment starts on 3/1/98.
Qualifications: BA/BS Degree in Technical Illustration, Graphics Design or related field; four years experience in computer application and video/graphic production; background knowledge of video and still photography; demonstrated skills in computer aided design; experience in wide area networking, Windows 95, Apple/Macintosh systems; and demonstrated strong oral, writing, time management and interpersonal skills.
