ORGAN CONCERT
George French will play an Organ Concert on both the 24-rank Roderer Mechanical Action organ at the Mt. St. Benedict Chapel and the 31-rank Reuter at the Cathedral on Sunday, November 24, at 3:30 p.m. The program will start at the Chapel with selections by J.S. Bach and Mendelssohn and conclude on the Cathedral organ with selections by Widor, E. Arne Hovdesven, Ralph Simpson, Dudley Buck, and various Norwegian composers.

Hovdesven, who died two years ago at the age of 103, was the brother of Crookston resident Myrtle Wilson who is 100 years old and lives at the Villa St. Vincent Apartments. Hovdesven was a noted New York City organist and composer who visited the family in Crookston from time to time when they lived in the house which is now known as the Elm Street Inn.
