VIP GRANT
The Violence Intervention Program (VIP) recently announced the funding of an $11,000 grant to develop comprehensive sexual assault prevention programming at the University of Minnesota, Crookston; Northland Community and Technical College, Thief River Falls; and East Grand Forks Technical College. UMC will serve as the primary site for delivery of training and program development for the grant.

Grant initiatives include training and technical assistance. Sexual violence prevention program development, review of existing sexual assault policies and protocols, design of a sexual assault prevention curriculum, a bi-monthly educational group, and the purchase of resources.

Activities developed from the grant will be reviewed and evaluated by an advisory committee. A comprehensive description of the grant is available from Gary Willhite, Stacey Gunewald, or Laurie Wilson.

OUTDOOR RENTAL EQUIPMENT
Outdoor rental equipment is available through Student Activities. We have two canoes, eight sleeping bags and four new tents. We also have axes, sleeping pads and other items to increase your enjoyment of the summer. For a complete listing contact Pam Holsinger-Fuchs or Kellee Thingelstad. Rental hours will be 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Thanks.
