FINANCIAL WORKSHOP
Triumph of Indexing by Mike Tawadros, Vanguard
Tuesday, March 11, noon to 1 p.m. in Kiehle 133
An "index fund" is designed to parallel the performance of a specific market index, like the Dow Jones Industrial Average or Standard & Poors 500, by closely reproducing the investment mix of the index. This seminar reveals how to employ indexing a strategy many experts feel should be the core of most retirement portfolios. Youll learn how indexing differs from traditional investing, its advantages and disadvantages, and how to pick an index fund.
Workshop is presented by the
Office of Human Resources, Employee Benefits and transmitted
using the ITV network to UMC from the Twin Cities.
