4. How can I register for an online course?
- I am enrolled in a UMC degree program and have a student ID number.
- I am not admitted to UMC and not enrolled in a UMC program.
- I am not admitted to UMC and am enrolling in a UMC program.
First,
you must select the type of student you are at UMC:
I am enrolled in a UMC degree program and
have an student ID number.
ALL ONLINE COURSES require you to obtain a permission number
before you can register for the course. Contact the Center
for Adult Learning to receive this permission (magic) number
first.
Online courses will show up as closed on the web registration
system. This doesn't necessarily mean that the course if
full, but is a stop in the system, requiring you to get
the necessary permission number from the Center for Adult
Learning before registering.
Once you have the permission number, you may register
one of 2 ways:
1. Complete the online registration if you are a student
that has previously taken courses and are eligible - Find
out if you are eligible for Web Registration at: Web
Registration Eligibility
2. Complete a registration form and take it to the Registrar’s
office.
I am NOT admitted to UMC and not enrolled
in a UMC degree program.

Complete the Application as a Special Student/Distance
Education Programs if you have not previously taken any
courses at UMC (Non-Degree
Application).
