Summarize
Your Experience:
Until my internship with Centrol, I wasn't really sure of
what I wanted to do when I grew up.
After one summer interning with Centrol, I was happy
with my job and it really help in making management decisions.
The position also offered hands-on experience of
practical pest management over a wide variety of farming
situations. I learned first hand about identification and
management strategies of weeds, insects, diseases and plant
nutrition.
What
I liked about the job:
Work was fun, I got up in the morning and was excited to
go to work. I think the best thing about my job is that
I was getting paid to learn and better understand crop
management. Even if I don't consult after graduation and
go back to the farm. I will apply what I learned
interning and in the classroom to work.
What
I disliked about the job:
Weather was a factor in my intern, rain or shine we were
crossing fields and hard at work. The heat didn't bother
me, but all that rainy wet weather. Really, you can only
be wet and muddy for so long.
