![]() This project is designed to introduce agricultural science & biotechnology activities in the context of existing high school curricula. Briefly, topics will be integrated into current lesson plans in at least fifteen to twenty high school science, foods and agriculture classes in northwestern Minnesota. Utilizing UMC faculty and students, teaching materials, technology resources, and accomplished science instructors, high school students will gain knowledge as they learn from various agriculture, foods and science curriculum. To complete the program, participants will be invited to special ag/science learning activities on the UMC campus. This program is funded in part by the following departments at the University of Minnesota, Crookston: Agriculture Department, Natural Resources Department, Math, Science, and Technology Department, Office of Admissions, and the Academic Affairs Office.
