Scouting crops, paying bills, working with seed, chemical, and machinery salesmen, managing labor, running lots of different heavy equipment, wiring, and welding different projects around the farm.

 On the Sand Farm I planted, sprayed, cultivated and harvested all the sugar beets. I scouted sugar beets weekly and monitored the other crops on the farm; wheat, soybeans, and edible beans. I helped plan all the crops for the 2003 and helped keep detailed records of the cropping year. I also paid numerous bills that came throughout the season.

 

What I liked most about
the job:

 

I enjoyed the challenges that came from growing this years crop and was pleased with the outcome of this years crop.

Some of the biggest challenges on the job this year where working around the wet weather that came in the months of May and June.
