Job Responsibilities:



Registering campers, adjusting water control gates on dam, trimming trees, painting picnic tables, answering visitor’s questions, preparing and presenting interpretive programs, collect and input water control data. Also park maintenance filling in holes, reseeding grass, trimming shrubs, and planting trees and repairing damaged equipment or park property.

My experience was very good working for the Corps of Engineers. You Have many different job duties which help keeps the Job interesting, also good pay, and vacation time, Things I disliked working nightshift on the weekends, also working 8 days in a row at times. Very good work conditions, very little physical demand, Need some mechanical skills; also you work in all weather conditions.

 

What I liked most about
the job:

 

I liked visiting with the many different people that would stay in the park, Also the independence that you have with the job. And the good work conditions and good pay.

 

 Challenges on the job:

 

 

The most challenging part of the job is calculating water levels and dealing with unpleasant campers. Making difficult or important decisions on your own.
