Summarize Your |
My main goal this summer was to work with
five young Arabians and get them to the point where they would stand for the
farrier. By the end of my internship, I had accomplished this goal rather
successfully. Other than working with those five, I also performed various
tasks pertinent to the upkeep of an equine facility. |

|
What I liked most about |
Learning to work
with young, untouched horses, beautiful facility and horses, lenient hours,
weekends off, assisting in the birth of a foal, and having my own two horses
on the property free of charge. |
|
|
Challenges on the job: |
Working alone
most of the day, finding enough work to keep myself busy, handling unruly
stallions, and driving in a much busier area that I am accustomed to. |
