Manage money in store at Delano location. Assist on sales calls, acquire customers and serve current customers. Various office duties.

 There was no such thing as a typical day but most of my duties were in our new location; Delano. Delano specializes in custom feed delivery so I took orders and helped customers in store. Throughout the day I also assisted in going out on sales calls and towards the end of the summer I was calling on my own clients. On Friday’s I went to Waconia and worked in the office doing inventories and billing.

 

What I liked most about
the job:

 

I learned the most from my sales peers. Sue and Mike exposed me to different sales styles and techniques to use with customers. The customers were my favorite part of the job. Talking with customers about their horses and how our products can make their facility better made my days.

 

Challenges on the job:

 

 

Getting the computer system working properly was my first main challenge.
