Summarize Your |
Basically this
summer I worked very closely with Dr. Faudskar and
Julie Solie, the CVT as a veterinary assistant. I did lab work, analyzing blood samples,
assisted Dr. Faudskar during exams, surgery and
also assisted Julie during dental prophylaxis. I also worked with Mandy the groomer and helped out at the front desk when Jenny the
receptionist was gone or out to lunch. |

What I liked most about |
I love working
with animals, although I would have liked to work with a large animal
veterinarian, I had fun and learned a great deal about the small animal
practice. This was an ideal internship
for me and it taught me many things to help me in my future career choices. |

|
Challenges on the job: |
During the course
of my internship, some of the challenges I had incurred included having to
deal with difficult customers, learning and remembering how to run the
different equipment and also, handling unruly cats and dogs. J |
