Summarize Your
Experience:

Basically this summer I worked very closely with Dr. Faudskar and Julie Solie, the CVT as a veterinary assistant.  I did lab work, analyzing blood samples, assisted Dr. Faudskar during exams, surgery and also assisted Julie during dental prophylaxis.  I also worked with Mandy the groomer and helped out at the front desk when Jenny the receptionist was gone or out to lunch.

What I liked most about
the job:

I love working with animals, although I would have liked to work with a large animal veterinarian, I had fun and learned a great deal about the small animal practice.  This was an ideal internship for me and it taught me many things to help me in my future career choices.

Challenges on the job:

During the course of my internship, some of the challenges I had incurred included having to deal with difficult customers, learning and remembering how to run the different equipment and also, handling unruly cats and dogs.  J
