Summarize Your
Experience:

Being a park ranger at the largest state park in Minnesota was very beneficial. The amount of variety in this position was outstanding. Dealing with hundreds of people every day helped me gain my public speaking skills and also my thought process. Also Itasca helped with the start of law enforcement. My job basically was to guard and protect the people from the park, the park from the people, and the people from the people.

What I liked most about
the job:

The single thing that I like most about this job was you were able to make decision on your own, within the park regulations.

Challenges on the job:

I found one thing very challenging when I first arrived was when people asked you questions about trails you have never been on. One other challenging thing was medicals. Medicals always get people excited including yourself. As time goes by you start calming yourself right away.
