[Horticulture] UMC's program in horticulture is designed to provide you with the skills, knowledge, and experience you'll need to become a sucessful horticulture professional.

The horticulture industry is experiencing major growth in the United States. Minnesotans alone spend over two billion dollars each year on flowers, plants, landscaping, and gardens. Growers and suppliers of ornamental plants are in great demand, as are landscape designers, landscape installers, florists, groundskeepers, sales representatives, and educators.

As a student, you’ll balance courses in design, plant health technology, and plant identification and selection. You’ll also be involved in the management of real plant production enterprises and landscaping projects.
