FALL QUARTER ETIQUETTE DINNER--Dining Services will be holding its' Fall Quarter Etiquette Dinner on Thursday, November 5^th. This meal will include 5 courses, the choice of entrees will be a stuffed port chop, a cornish game hen, or BBQ Ribs. Space is limited to 50 participants so make your reservation with Rhonda at 224 by Wednesday, November 4. This is an excellent opportunity for you to become more familiar with food etiquette for those upcoming job interviews. The cost per meal is one meal scan or $6.50. Hope to see you there.

FLU SHOTS--It's that time of year again…cold and flu season. Two Flu Shot Clinics will be offered again this year. In order to provide better service, two nurses from Polk County Nursing Service will be on campus both days providing flu shots. STUDENTS ONLY: Tuesday, November 3 from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., SCC 131, cost: free and ALL OTHERS: Monday, November 9 from 11:00 - 1:00 p.m., SCC 131 and the cost is $8.00. STUDENT/STAFF DIRECTORIES AVAILABLE--Students living off-campus may pick up the Student/Staff Directory at the Registrar's Office in Selvig Hall. Students living on-campus should have received their copy from their R.A..

STUDENT PAYROLL CHECKS--In order to ensure that students receive payroll checks on a timely basis, we need students and supervisors to assist in turning in time cards according to the biweekly payroll schedule. (Supervisors should have this schedule). Time cards need to be signed by the student and the supervisor and should be turned in immediately after the pay period ends in order to avoid delays. Paydays are every other Wednesday with checks available for pick up at the Business Office.

WANT TO BE A SCHOOL MASCOT??--Are you interested in promoting school spirit by cheering on our athletic teams as well as attending athletic events? We are looking for a spirited person who would like to be Regal the Eagle at sporting events. If you are interested, please contact Rose at the White House by calling 8439 or you can email her at rulseth. Your job as Regal does pay $20.00 for each game. Come out and show your spirit.

WEB EMPLOYER—Web Employer is a component that empowers employers we work with to post positions and search for candidate resumes over the web. This means less data entry for our office and staff and fewer hassles with faxing candidate resumes. Web Employer gives 1stPlace! up-to-date information on all employer activity by creating referral records so that we know which employers are contacting which applicants. Employers can only view active applicant resumes and are restricted from viewing any additional applicant information. Web components allow us to track and administer every interaction students and employers have with the system from the 1stPlace! database within our office.
